A defining move to Italy in 1993 saw Black become a designer for Les Copains and in 1995 he moved onto Giorgio Armani, rising to become head designer at Borgonuovo Black Label. Later, in 2002 Black became Chief Designer of Womenswear and Accessories Co-ordinator at eponymous fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo where he remained until 2007.
2005 saw the launch of the first Graeme Black collection as well as the opening of his design consultancy business in London.
Graeme Black’s design consultancy business works within the global luxury fashion market. Specialising in fashion strategy, collection design development, through to branding and store development. His clients to date include Hugo Boss, Desa and Les Copains and since 2010 for 1436, part of the Erdos Group, in China. Black also collaborates on freelance projects throughout Europe, United States and Asia.
